PORK PIES

Join Jacqui Marsden producer of the ‘Penistone Pork Pie’ from her farmhouse country kitchen just outside Penistone on the edge of the Peak District for an introductory course on how to produce one of the all time British classics!  Working alongside Jacqui not only will she show you how to make the unique hot water crust pastry but she will also instruct you how to create a meat filling fit for a king. As well as catering for traditional pork pie lovers Jacqui will reveal how to customise your pies to introduce different cuts, types of meat and additional ingredients to give them your own distinctive flavour. Jacqui will also demonstrate how to produce your own gourmet farmhouse piccalilli to serve as the perfect accompaniment to this classic pie. On completion of the course you will take away a jar of Jacqui’s fabulous farmhouse piccalilli and a wonderful Penistone Pork Pie!

4 hour course times to suit you and is ideal for a group booking  as fun and informative!  The course includes all refreshments and a Yorkshire Ploughmans Lunch with locally sourced and homegrown produce.
